Wanna have fun?
Own a horse you ride already? You might want to take advantage of our "Ranch Rider"
program. For $50 per month, or $15 per day you can utilize the Ranch arenas (when
available) and our private trail system.
The fee is charged
per rider so you may bring and use more than one horse.

Before you proceed, We ask you check in, and out when using this program  
whenever  possible.
You may bring your recreational trailer or motorhome and camp
also.  (no power or bathroom is provided, however there is a fresh water pump available.
for this reason no tent camping is allowed at this time.
Check out is at 12:00 Noon the following day.
We ask you bring a safe, suitable container for your fire (if your having one), and clean up
manure and debris from your  riders and horses around the barn and arenas (you don't
have to on the trails). Please Ask if you do not see a wheel barrow and rake. Please take
refuse such as cans and paper with you when you leave.

Fishing is allowed. Please leave your personal dogs at home.
folks boarding horses upon the ranch are allowed to temporary camp for no charge,
dogs upon approval.

Talk to Flo to schedule your guided ranch ride or riding lesson during your visit ( if
preferred).  The rate for guided riding is $50 per hour. You do not have to have a guide to
ride.
This is a place you can ride your horse for many miles that are free from
motorized competition
in the enjoyment of trails. (Motorized vehicles are not allowed
within the Wild Life Refuge adjoining Pitcher Ranch during the warm months).
A safe fire will be contained in a receptacle
such as seen here. Please use on gravel, or
bring a non flammable base to sit it upon.

PITCHER RANCH
We may have been the first to supply a written work
log, but we are no longer the only! We are happy that
other trainers are finding this to be a good practice. It
makes us proud to see that the 477 is having a positive
influence in the Alaska Horse Industry.

Adult Beginner Horse riding lessons with Flo Pitcher.
$50 per hour.
First reserved on calender is first served.
All lessons begin with bare back riding. Helmets are
provided (required). Please note these popular classes
are primarily for learning basic horsemanship. A whole
lot of learning happens while your are  generally having
a whole lot of fun. To sign up just choose an open day
on the ranch calendar (no "ranch days" or days with 3
people already signed on).
 Come to the barn and write
it clearly on the parlor calendar with your phone
number. Or you can call it into Flo 373-1457 and she will
put your name on for you.
Parlor calendar has priority over the online calendar,
and is more accurate.  Available seven days a week
after 2PM.
Students who home school may be able to get credit,
depending on their situation. If you are a
correspondence student, you may be eligible for a hefty
discount.
